Nature Lover's Feed

BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Thank you all for the inspiration!  I'm going to keep these challenges going and see if I can best my best day in the coming weeks.

Already a part of our family's habits are 1. We delay doing laundry until we have fuller loads 2. We do not water the landscape where once was grass. 3. I wash my car only very rarely.

I love the reminder to do thinks that I always have the intention of doing each day.  A little extra accountability :)

I have joined the Ecochallenge as an extension of my work as a Leadership Team member of the Climate Reality Project, San Fernando Valley chapter. My journey as an activist began as a 5-year-old seeing a circus on TV and wondering why people were being so mean to the animals. That question has lasted to this day when, as an older adult, I mourn the loss of the calm, year-round moderate temperatures and clear, blue skies of my childhood. And I live with a growing concern about the safety of the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe. My focus is on supporting the global Rights of Nature movement.

I pulled together a set of reused yogurt cups to share with a local mom organizing a bday party. She actually wanted to use them for 2 events and plans to return them. I’m just glad they’re being used. I get extra cabinet space and she gets a fun “new” set of cups for her celebration without either of us buying anything new

I love the eco challenge.  It's my way to check in with myself and expand and deepen my commitment to living an earth first healthy lifestyle.
