Balancing Consumption
Track My Purchases
I will maintain a record of all my purchases and identify my spending habits.
Balancing Consumption
Eliminate Dunkin' Donuts Daily
Stop going to Dunkin's Donuts daily. I have food at home. I can save on gas by not driving out of my way to go there. 2 cups, 2 bags and the wax papers associated with my purchase go into the trash daily.
Regenerating Nature
Take Shorter Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute or less showers. Tip: Use a timer to practice or count to 60 a few times.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Louis Mattei 10/10/2022 4:59 AMI am starting to realize that cutting down on waste in one way makes one look at the other aspects of waste in our everyday life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Track My PurchasesWhat have you noticed about your purchases? Where are you inclined to make shifts, if any?
Louis Mattei 10/07/2022 5:11 AMSome of my purchases would lead to ultimate waste. If eating at a restaurant makes me throw food from my fridge away at the end of the week. I'm wasting money. We never eat everything at the restaurant and taking home leftovers leads to more waste. I ask myself if my spending is just to pacify or distract me or do I need it?-
Jon Rice 10/07/2022 5:51 AMCouldn't agree more. I am looking at this specific thing. I find myself looking at smaller servings inside the restaurants that not only saves me cost but leaves me satisfied. Trying to focus on more meals at home personally and also staying inside the facilities and just keeping portioned meals inside the fridge.....
