Loved participating in these challenges I hope to continue to keep up using less social media and looking at screens and more doing what what I love and learning about new things

I thought this challenge was awesome! It was a great way to be more mindful, which is something I am working on each day. I am so proud of everyone for completing challenges, reflecting on their choices and how they impact the environment, and interacting with other people in the feed! My last job produced an obscene amount of waste, so I am excited to work for a company that takes steps towards reducing waste and educating employees on the impact their decisions can have on mother nature.

Enacting Equity Learn About Trans, Femme, and Nonbinary Experiences
How is equality for trans, femme, and nonbinary people important to a just and sustainable society?

I have spent some time learning about these groups primarily on TikTok, which I feel can be a wonderful resource for people to share their lives. What it comes down to is that trans rights are human rights. Equality is for everyone, and no groups should be excluded based on any sort of binary or political ideals. When we take the needs of everyone into account, it is important to think of the most marginalized groups who often have less resources.

Balancing Consumption What is Sustainable Fashion?
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

One thing I like to do especially around halloween is repurpose things I already have instead of buying new materials that will only be worn once. For example, for this year's costume I used mostly clothing items I already owned and made minimal new purchases. Of what I did buy new, I will be able to get more use out of it than just one day.

Balancing Consumption Calculate My Carbon Footprint
What is one way you will reduce your carbon impact? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon impact?

Luckily I found out I already have a lower than average carbon footprint. One thing I will do to reduce it further is try to recycle more. It can be harder with apartment living to have room to separate recycling from trash, but I will make an effort to do that.

    Nourishing Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

Unfortunately it does not surprise me. I know there are times myself where I have food in the fridge but ultimately end up eating our or ordering in because it is more convenient. I would rather use this money towards saving or towards a better future.

    Regenerating Nature Spend Time Outside
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

Physical and mental well being can decline. It can also make it to where you are not socializing as much. You may not feel connected. Having a false sense of reality as you only see what is on the screen
